Quick Healthy Recipes for Kids in Summer Vacations

It’s vacation time mommies so make your little munchkins munch their favorite food in all the new exciting and colorful ways. Let them say “Mummaa yummmmm….”

Some Quick easy healthy recipes for your kids this vacation are:

1.Oats Chillas Recipes

Ingredients

  • Oats (roasted and crushed)-1 cup
  • Chopped carrot -1 spoon
  • Chopped beans-1 spoon
  • Chopped cauliflower-1 spoon
  • Salt (according to taste)
  • Butter milk

Procedure/How to make recipe– Take Quaker oats roast it in pan n grind it in mixer. Take a  bowl and add oats, add chopped veggies. A pinch of salt to taste. Now add butter milk and mix well. The consistency should be semi liquid.Now take non stick pan add drop off olive oil spread mixture on pan. Let it cook on  one side then from other side.Cut in triangle shapes and pack for swing time or serve hot in breakfast.

2. Beetroot cutlet Recipe

Ingredients

  • Grated beetroot -1 bowl
  • Boiled mashed potatoes-1/2 bowl
  • Oats-2tbspoon
  • Chia seeds -1/2 spoon (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves
  • Olive oil 1 spoon

Procedure/How to make recipe-Take a bowl  and add grated beetroot (strain it’s water well), mashed boiled potatoes,roasted crushed oats, chia seeds, coriander leaves,salt to taste. Mix all ingredients together with hands and make cutlet in different shapes.Take tawa add drop of oil spread it and put cutlet on tawa. Make it brown from both sides and pack it for evening snacks.

3. Vegetable Wrap Receipe

Ingredients

  • Chopped onion-1/2 bowl
  • Capsicum strings-1/2 bowl
  • Carrot strings-1/2 bowl
  • Cottage cheese cubes -1 bowl
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Wrap – Plain thin rotis

Spread-Mint chutney

Procedure/How to make recipe -Add oil in pan. Add chopped onions, saute it. Add capsicum,carrot, coriander leaves,cottage cheese cubes. Sprinkle some salt. Mix well. Take roti spread chutney add paneer filling in centre. Now wrap it and cover it with foil paper. Healthy recipe ready for your kid.

4. Sooji Dhokla Recipe

Ingredients

  • sooji 2 cups
  • Sour curd -1 cup
  • Olive oil -1tsp
  • Haldi-1tsp
  • Salt to Tate
  • Eno fruit salt -1 that

For tampering

  • mustard seeds ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves-4-5
  • Olive oil -2tsp
  • Sugar -2tbsp
  • Water-1/2 cup

Procedure/How to make recipe– Mix all ingredients together except fruit salt. Use enough water to make thick batter. let it rest for ten minutes. Then add Eno fruit salt and mix thoroughly. Pour batter in dhokla stand and steam for 12 to 15 minutes. Let it rest for 5 minutes. Cut in half n arrange in plate.

For tampering– Heat oil in pan. Add mustard seeds when seeds start to crackle add Curry leaves, sugar and water. Boil it for 2 min. Pour this over dhokla. serve hot or chilled according.

Finally chopped coriander-

  • 1 tspoon
  • Salt according to taste
  • Oregano for seasoning
  • Bread-4 slices
  • Butter

Procedure/How to make recipe-Take all veggies in bowl. Sprinkle salt and oregano.Add hung curd and mix well. Now take bread n spread hung curd mixture on it n close it from other side. place it on non stick pan by applying butter on both side and let it brown from both side. Serve in for breakfast .
