Sleepless nights for tourists stranded on Uttarakhand roads

Hill stations in Uttarakhand are witnessing massive traffic jams on major roads. The situation was the worst during the weekend in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Mussoorie and Nainital. Road and traffic movement came to a standstill on most hill roads last weekend. The high number of tourists resulted in Mussoorie and Nainital running out of hotel rooms. With temperatures soaring in the plains, more tourists are expected to visit these hill stations making the situation even worse in these areas.
