- Cook the traditional way (e.g. eat sabzis, not raw veggies).
 - Set your curd at home (and also make white makkhan).
 - Keep homemade snacks ready (one sweet, one savoury).
 - Keep different sizes of vessels (to reduce wastage).
 - Keep your pulses in glass bottles (and use variety of pulses).
