Why am I not getting success in any work?

Why am I not getting success in any work?

The notifications are piling up. Your to-do list is growing faster than you can check things off. You sit down, determined to work, but before you can even start—someone needs you.

The post draft stays half-written. The social media post sits in your notes. The website update? Next week, for sure this time.

You tell yourself you’ll focus once things settle. But “settled” never really comes, does it?

So, you push through. Late nights, early mornings, squeezing work into the in-between moments of life. And still… the results don’t match the effort.

And you wonder—What am I missing?

1. You’re Running a Business… and a Household

Meera was building something of her own. She’d left her 9-to-5 to have more freedom, more time with her kids, and the ability to call the shots.

But what no one prepared her for was the invisible work—the mental load of remembering everything.

She’d sit at her desk, finally ready to work, and suddenly remember the school form she forgot to sign. The groceries that needed to be restocked. The birthday gift that had to be ordered.

By the time she cleared her mind, the work window had passed.

She told herself she needed better time management. But no planner could solve the fact that she was holding the weight of everything—and leaving no space for herself.

2. When It’s Time to Invest in Yourself, You Put Yourself Last

Asha loved what she did. She knew she needed to upgrade her website, outsource tasks, maybe even get a coach. But every time she thought about spending money on her business, a voice in her head said, Is this really necessary?

She didn’t hesitate when it came to buying things for her kids or running the house. But when it was for herself, it felt… indulgent.

So, she kept trying to do it all alone, learning everything from scratch, burning hours on things that weren’t her zone of genius.

She thought she was being practical. But deep down, she was stuck in an old belief: It’s okay to spend on others, but not on me.

And that belief was keeping her business small.

3. Success Feels Like More Responsibility—And You’re Already Tired

Riya had always dreamed of building something big. And she was on her way—clients were coming in, revenue was growing.

But instead of excitement, she felt something else: dread.

Because more success meant more expectations. More people relying on her. More decisions, more moving pieces, more on her plate.

She wasn’t afraid of success itself. She was afraid that success would take even more from her than she already gave.
And a part of her would rather stay small than risk being completely drained.

4. Every Time You Start Making Progress, Something Pulls You Back

Simran had been consistent. She was finally getting traction—her audience was growing, engagement was up, and clients were showing interest.

Then, her child got sick. Or there was an unexpected family crisis. Or just one of those weeks.

So she paused. And when things settled, the momentum was gone. She had to start from scratch—again.

At first, she thought it was just bad timing. But after it kept happening, she had to ask herself: Why do I keep getting pulled back just as I’m about to move forward?

And the answer wasn’t in her business. It was in the patterns she’d been living her whole life.

So, What’s Really Blocking You?

If you’ve been feeling stuck, exhausted, or like you’re constantly running but never arriving, here’s the truth:
This isn’t about working harder.

It’s about unlearning the things you never realized were holding you back.

Things like:

  • Believing your needs come last.
  • Equating success with exhaustion.
  • Feeling responsible for everything before you can take a step for yourself.
  • Subconsciously shrinking your dreams because you’re afraid they’ll demand more than you have to give.

And until you address these, no amount of strategy will work the way you want it to.

So instead of pushing through, what if you did something different?

What if you let go of what’s not yours to hold?

What if success didn’t have to feel like another burden?

Your Roadmap to Success by Coach Nehaa Goyal

Your business doesn’t just need better strategy—it needs release.
Because what if it’s not about what you’re doing, but about what’s doing you?

1. Your Nervous System Needs to Feel Safe Before It Allows Growth

Success is not just about pushing forward. If deep down, your body associates success with more stress, more responsibility, or more isolation, it will quietly sabotage progress.

👉 Action: The next time you feel resistance—pause. Where do you feel it in your body? Is it tightening your chest, knotting your stomach? Instead of pushing through, acknowledge it: “I see you. I hear you. It’s safe to expand.”

2. Your Business Will Only Grow As Much As You’ve Healed

A business doesn’t just operate on numbers and strategy. It runs on you. If you grew up feeling unseen, undervalued, or like you had to earn your place, that will show up in your pricing, client interactions, and self-worth.

Example: A client of mine was undercharging for her services. When we traced it back, she realized she grew up in a household where women weren’t “allowed” to earn more than their husbands. That wasn’t her business problem—it was her ancestral imprint.

👉 Action: Ask yourself: “If my business was a reflection of my childhood experience with money, power, and visibility—what would it reveal?”

3. Your Mother & Father Wound Affect How You Show Up in Business

Your mother represents receiving. Your father represents structure and leadership. If you have a strained relationship with either, it directly impacts your business.

Example: A woman with a critical father may subconsciously fear visibility because it reminds her of being judged. A woman with an unavailable mother may struggle to receive money, support, or ease because she equates receiving with disappointment.

👉 Action: Identify which parent’s energy feels blocked. Is it harder for you to receive or to lead? That’s your area of work.

4. You Carry More Than Just Your Own Blocks—Ancestral Weight is Real

Have you ever noticed how some struggles don’t even feel yours? Maybe every woman in your family gave up their dreams after marriage. Maybe they never got to be financially independent. If they couldn’t have it, a part of you might feel guilty for wanting it.

This isn’t about “mindset.” It’s body memory.

👉 Action: Say out loud:
“I honor the women who came before me. I see their struggles. But their pain is not mine to carry. I choose a new path, and I do so with love.”

5. You’re Not Stuck—You’re Just Repeating an Old Pattern

Every time you think, “Why does this keep happening to me?”, you’re being shown a pattern. You’re not lazy, inconsistent, or lacking talent. You’re just acting out an emotional loop that’s been playing for years.

Example: If every time you gain momentum, life “gets in the way”—ask yourself: Who in my family was about to thrive but got stopped? Did a grandmother have to abandon her ambitions? Did a mother sacrifice her growth for the family? That energy lives on until it’s seen.

👉 Action: Instead of fighting it, thank it. It’s trying to protect you. Then tell it: “I no longer need to repeat this story. I am safe to move forward.”

You were just holding too much.
