Navratri is the time when people start eating fried foods.

If you are someone who is looking to eat healthy this Navratri and want to know how you can replace fried food then Award Winning Nutritionist Shilpa Mittal from Mumbai suggests Fried foods can be easily air fried or even roasted on tawa or grilled too or you can try appe too.

Like Aloo tikki can be replaced by aloo chat or make a tikki adding sweet potato, carrot, peanuts along with potato.

You can try Sabudana wada by adding sweet potato, paneer, hung curd in air fry.

Adding to this Dt Rupeet Kaur who is the Founder at Diet Ryt in Mohali Punjab suggests, During Navratras, fried foods are often consumed. However, one can replace these with healthier options like:

Roasted makhanas are good and healthy snacks.

According to her one may also use techniques like stir frying, steaming and grilling instead of deep frying.

The Meal options include sabudana idlis, grilled paneer , grilled sweet potatoes and pineapple etc are healthy and better choices.

Dt. Swati Singh from Noida says, “Opt for healthy snacks as in-between meals like roasted peanuts and mix seeds mixture, thin buttermilk, fruits. Stir-fry veggies instead of frying.

Jaipur based Nutritionist Deepika Saboo gives the remedy for Fried foods craving during Navratri. She suggests to have flaxseeds, soaked walnuts and chia seeds as that will help you to eliminate the cravings during Navratri.
